Bee & Pollinator Commitment

At Blooming Flora we believe that garden spaces should certainly be enjoyed by their owners, but share a little love for the bees and beasties who pollinate the plants we love and cherish.

It has been widely publicised that the UK bee population is in decline. A happy garden is a buzzing garden!

We can advise on planting the right varieties of plants to encourage the pollinators into your garden. We want your garden space to be a nectar magnet!

We may encourage you to set-aside a small piece of of your garden to go wild and maybe even plant some wild flowers.

We will encourage our customers to provide bee boxes and nesting sites for garden pollinators.

We always promote the planting of a range of plants that bloom providing year round flowers.

We suggest providing a bird and bee watering hole somewhere in your garden.

We do not promote the use of neonicotinoids and pesticides on flowering plants.

We will not promote the planting of flowers with double or multi-petalled heads.

The Royal Horticultural Society have produced two brilliant guides for garden and wild flowers that attract pollinators. You may wish to consider including some of their suggested varieties in your borders. These can be found at :- rhs.org.uk/plantsforpollinators

Let's help the beleaguered UK bee population and keep gardens blooming and buzzing!
